Types of Filters

P3 Filter: Used against all types of wet and dry particles, such as dust, smoke, aerosols, spray, asbestos, bacteria, viruses and mould.
Type A: Protects against organic gases and vapours, such as solvents, with boiling points > +65degree celcius
Type B: Protects against inorganic gases and vapours, such as chlorine, hydrogen sulphide and hydrogen cyanide.
Type E: Protects against acidic gases and vapours, such as sulphur dioxide and hydrogen fluoride.
Type K: Protects against ammonia and certain amines, such as ethylene diamine.
Type Hg: Protects against mercury vapour. Warning! Maximum use time 50 hours.

The Sundström SR500 is a powered air purifying respirator designed to be used with combined filers, Gas filter + particle filter. The SR500 is compatible with the screw in gas filters and can be combined wiith the SR510 particle filter.

Can I use the SR 510 P3 R filter alone for particle protection?

Yes, the SR 510 P3 R filter provides high-efficiency protection against all types of particulates, including dust, smoke, aerosols, asbestos, bacteria, viruses, and mould. For optimal performance, it should be used with the SR 221 pre-filter.
