Which respirators can be tested using qualitative methods?

Qualitative fit testing is suitable for disposable and reusable half-face respirators that rely on a tight seal to the face. It's not recommended for full-face respirators or those requiring quantitative testing methods.

What is the difference between the sweet and bitter test solutions?

The sweet solution uses sodium saccharin, while the bitter solution uses Bitrex (denatonium benzoate). The choice depends on the user's sensitivity; some individuals may not detect one of the agents, so an alternative should be used to ensure accurate testing.
