SUNDSTROM SR700 Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR), with Standard Battery & SR570 Helmet

Sundström SR 700 PAPR unit with Sundström SR 570 Helmet. All fan units come with 2 x Sundström SR510 particle filters, 10 x Sundström Pre-filters, 2 x Sundström Filter adaptors, and 2 x Sundström Pre-filter holders.

The Sundström SR700 powered air purifying respirator FOR PARTICLES ONLY is an alternative to negative-pressure filter respirators in situations where these are recommended. The fan-assisted air flow may be of benefit during extended periods of work in warm conditions.

PAPR stands for Powered Air Purifying Respirator. PAPR is a system that uses a fan to deliver filtered air into a variety of headgear and facepiece options.

What are the benifit of PAPR?

Powered Air Purifying Respiratos offer a higher level of protection ovver negative pressure respirator like half face respirators. Battery-powered, fan-assisted air-purifying particle filter respirator that can be used as an alternative to negative-pressure filter respirators where these are recommended. This applies particularly to extended periods of hard work in warm conditions

Can I use other Sundstrom filters with this respirator system?

The sundstrom SR700 PAPR is designed for particles only. The SR510 and the SR710 filters along with the SR221 are the only filters approved for use.

Can I use this with a beard?

Yes the Sundstrom SR570 can be used with a beard or facial hair. A long beard would not be recommended. Limitations apply and protection factors need to be considered

Are visor protectors available to protect the visor?

Yes we offer the Sundstrom protective film for the SR570. These are a great option to maintain a scratch free visor

How do I clean the Sundstrom SR570?

Sundström cleaning tissues SR 5226 are recommended for daily care. If the equipment is more heavily fouled, the head harness seal, face seal and sweatband can be put in a laundry bag and machine wash (max 40 °C). Other items can be washed in the dishwasher (max 55 °C). If necessary, spray the face shield with 70 % ethanol or isopropanol solution for disinfection. NOTE! Never use solvents for cleaning.
