- Smoother Dark-to-Light Transition: Minimize eye strain with the intermediate shade 5 light state during tack welding applications. If no arc is struck within 2 seconds, the lens reverts to its TrueView light state (shade 3), offering optimal clarity.

The 3M Speedglas G5-01 TW Helmet Upgrade Kit allows existing 3M Adflo PAPR users to upgrade their welding helmet at a fraction of the cost. The Upgrade Kit comes with the new Speedglas Flip-Up Welding Helmet G5-01 complete with the Speedglas G5-01 TW welding lens. Simply attach the helmet to your existing Adflo PAPR and you can benefit from all the features of the new Speedglas G5-01 TW welding helmet, including Climate Control, TrueView, Smoother Dark-Light Transition, Bluetooth Connectivity and the options of Configurable Extra Protection and a Task Light.
3M™ Speedglas™ G5-01TW Features
- Smoother Dark-Light Transition: To minimise eye strain during extended tack welding applications, the G5-01 TW welding lens uses an intermediate shade 5 light state. If an arc is not struck within 2 seconds the welding lens will automatically switch back to its shade 2.5 TrueView light state.
- Extra-Large Welding Lens with Superior Optics: A massive 73 x 109mm viewing area gives you greater clarity than ever before! Combined with Speedglas TrueView technology, what you see through the lens appears lighter, brighter and in more detail.
- Airflow Climate Control for Greater Comfort: Take control over the amount and direction of airflow within your helmet, with an innovative helmet duct system. Perfect for welding in hot and humid environments, all adjustments can be made while keeping your helmet in place.
- Bluetooth Connectivity and Memory Modes: New Bluetooth technology allows you to change your G5-01TW welding lens settings from the palm of your hand, rather than removing your helmet! This means you can keep your eye, face and respiratory protection in place. For simple switching, easily program up to four memory modes.
